Care Buddy – Senior Support Role

About the role

The Care Buddy is the primary point of contact for members of Prayojana, providing compassionate, day‑to‑day assistance that feels like support from family. You will help seniors with everyday tasks, accompany them to appointments and events, and ensure their wellbeing and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor their wellbeing.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor visits and laboratory appointments.
• Help members resolve technology issues, including setting up messaging apps and internet connectivity.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and act as a liaison with hospitals during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventories.
• Provide companionship by walking with members, attending social events, and arranging transportation.
• Manage tickets for concerts, movies, or other cultural activities as requested.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy.
• Availability for emergency calls 24/7.
• Punctual, polite, and committed to keeping seniors comfortable.
• Basic computer and internet proficiency.
• Own a two‑wheeler for local travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
