Care Buddy – Senior Support Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the friendly face of Prayojana for senior members. You will provide compassionate, day‑to‑day assistance that feels as warm and supportive as a family member’s care.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned seniors daily for well‑being and emotional support.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments and laboratory visits.
• Help resolve technology issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet, and social‑media accounts.
• Visit members at least once a week, educate them on emergency procedures, and coordinate emergency response when needed.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship through walks, social events, and transportation coordination.
• Organise tickets and arrange transport for concerts, movies, or family functions.

Required profile

• High integrity, trustworthiness, and 24/7 availability for emergency calls.
• Strong empathy, patience, punctuality, and commitment to seniors’ comfort.
• Independent, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for local travel.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (optional).

Required skills

• Basic computer and internet usage.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot WhatsApp, social‑media platforms, and internet connectivity.
