Care Buddy – Senior Companion & Support Role

About the role

The Care Buddy is the primary point of contact and friendly face for Prayojana members. You will provide compassionate, day‑to‑day assistance that feels as caring as a family member’s support.

Key responsibilities

• Check on members’ well‑being daily and visit at least once a week.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule doctor appointments, accompany members to visits, and arrange periodic lab tests.
• Help members resolve technology issues, set up messaging apps, and use social media.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during urgent situations.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventories.
• Provide companionship, accompany walks, and attend social events or concerts as requested.
• Organise tickets and arrange transportation for events and family functions.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy.
• Availability for emergency calls 24 × 7.
• Polite, punctual, and committed to keeping seniors comfortable.
• Experience using web and mobile applications with basic computer and internet knowledge.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter).
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
