Calibration Technician

About the role

The Calibration Technician is responsible for ensuring that all measuring instruments and gauges used on the shop floor are accurate, properly documented, and readily available for production. This role supports the manufacturing process by managing gauge inventory, maintaining records, and verifying the condition of returned tools.

Key responsibilities

• Selection and issuance of gauges and measuring instruments (Thread Ring/Plug Gauges, Plain Gauges, Limit Gauges, Depth Gauges, etc.) to production teams.
• Maintain gauge register records using Microsoft Excel, ensuring up‑to‑date and accurate data.
• Collect, inspect, and verify returned gauges and instruments, updating records accordingly.
• Enter and update gauge information in the company’s ERP software.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Mechanical).
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in calibration or gauge management.
• Good knowledge of thread gauges and related measuring tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking.
• Experience using ERP software for inventory management.
• Familiarity with various gauge types (Thread Ring, Plug, Plain, Limit, Depth).
