Calibration Engineer – Vehicle Testing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ABS‑ESC calibration engineer to lead and support active safety and new braking systems activities across the product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on calibration and customer‑facing project execution. The role involves working closely with OEM customers, project teams and cross‑functional engineering stakeholders to develop, calibrate and validate control algorithms that meet performance, regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Vehicle testing, performance evaluation and calibration of Electronic Stability Control (ESC) algorithms for commercial vehicles.
• Conduct summer and winter test sessions, calibrate system performance to Bosch, customer and legal requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and data‑acquisition issues during development.
• Interface with customers to provide technical support and follow company development and quality processes.
• Support project acquisition and technical activities across groups and departments.

Required profile

• B.E. or M.Tech in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics or related field with 5‑8 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience conducting vehicle brake tests, lane‑change tests and homologation testing for ABS/ESC systems.
• Good understanding of vehicle dynamics, brake pneumatics/hydraulics and ability to push vehicles to their physical limits for system calibration.
• Commercial vehicle driving license preferred.

Required skills

• Programming in C, Matlab and Simulink.
• Experience with ASCET.
• Hands‑on with data‑acquisition tools: VBOX, Vector, ETAS, data loggers and sensors.
• Knowledge of ABS, ESC and AEB calibration.
