CAE Engineer – Interior Vehicle Components

About the role

The CAE Engineer will focus on interior vehicle components, creating detailed mesh models and performing crash and impact simulations using LS‑DYNA. The role supports product development for instrument panels, center consoles and door trims, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and assemble mesh models for instrument panels, center consoles and door panels.
• Perform shell and solid meshing for complex part geometries.
• Define CAE work scope and planning in collaboration with the manager.
• Analyse and finalize product specifications for CAE analysis with agreement from PM or OEM.
• Participate in design review meetings and communicate results to the program team and OEM.
• Share and review simulation outcomes regularly with stakeholders.

Required profile

• B.E./M.E. or B‑Tech/M‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proactive, cooperative and client‑oriented attitude with strong leadership potential.

Required skills

• LS‑DYNA for non‑linear quasi‑static and dynamic impact analysis.
• Mesh modeling and solid meshing of complex interior parts.
• Kinematic joint definition and dynamic contact modeling.
• Crash analysis of interior fixations (clips, snaps, dog‑houses).
• Head impact simulation (ECE‑R21, IS15223, FMVSS 201).
• Door‑trim side‑impact, thorax, pelvis and abdomen impactor simulations.
• Dynamic PAB deployment and knee‑impact stiffness studies.
