Buyer – Supply Planning (APAC – India)

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Buyer to join the APAC Supply Planning team, focusing on material demand execution and supplier management across the India region. You will play a key part in ensuring continuous supply for global plant production while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute material demand orders with Armstrong suppliers in India.
• Develop and maintain supply plans to guarantee uninterrupted support for global plant production.
• Share rolling forecasts with suppliers regularly to align capacity and replenish inventory on time.
• Monitor supply‑demand imbalances and recommend corrective actions such as expediting, rescheduling, or reallocating stock.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, Logistics, and Site Planning teams to mitigate shortages and delivery constraints.
• Define, monitor, and continuously optimize supplier min‑max inventory levels.
• Set up system‑driven alerts and automated monitoring in Kinaxis Rapid Response to flag potential breaches.
• Work with procurement and suppliers to adjust reorder points, lead times, and MOQ based on consumption trends.
• Monitor inventory health at distribution hubs and global plants, implementing actions to minimize excess.

Required profile

• Experience in supply planning or material demand execution within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sourcing, engineering, logistics, and site teams.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify imbalances and drive corrective actions.
• Familiarity with digital supply‑chain tools, especially Kinaxis Rapid Response.
