Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will lead purchasing activities across business units, ensuring inventory is acquired cost‑effectively and on time. You will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors, handling the full procurement cycle from demand receipt to order delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse purchase requisitions and vendor quotations.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with all business units and process purchase orders, change orders, and RFQs.
• Track PCard expenses, manage invoices, and maintain contracts in the TCM system.
• Conduct periodic reviews of open purchase orders, AP holds, billing reports, and vendor performance.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, monitor open PO status, and prepare regular purchase‑order reports for management.
• Analyse spend categories to identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee software licensing agreements.
• Collaborate with sales teams on quotes, Statements of Work, and delivery schedules.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of corporate procurement experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with US counterparts and handling transactional procurement.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end sourcing, negotiation, and delivery SLA compliance.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
