Buyer – Procurement (2nd Shift)

About the role

TDW is seeking a detail‑oriented Buyer to support global procurement operations in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role is transactional, focusing on purchase order creation, supplier coordination, and data accuracy within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Microsoft AX. The position works the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and offers a blend of onsite training with limited remote flexibility once ramped.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) in D365 or Microsoft AX.
• Maintain open order reports to monitor supplier performance and delivery dates.
• Troubleshoot Exflow invoice and workflow errors.
• Support Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) processing and resolution.
• Ensure accurate pricing and part quoting for each PO.
• Handle a high volume of orders (50+ per commodity manager, ~100 total).
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, timelines, and resolve issues.
• Partner with internal engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, structural).

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, or supply‑chain support.
• Bachelor of Engineering.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably D365 or Microsoft AX.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high‑volume transactional work.
• Self‑sufficient, able to work independently with minimal oversight.
