Buyer II – Procurement & Planning Specialist

About the role

The Buyer II will manage end‑to‑end procurement and planning activities for a manufacturing operation. You will translate demand forecasts into purchase orders, ensure on‑time delivery, and maintain optimal inventory levels while supporting cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute buying activities, inventory management, and material follow‑up.
• Negotiate with suppliers on price, delivery, quality, and packaging.
• Develop and monitor vendor performance, driving continuous improvement.
• Release customer orders from the planning queue based on material availability and lead times.
• Create and maintain purchase order tracking systems and update management on order status.
• Process RFQs for build‑to‑print parts, active components, passive elements, and electromechanical parts.
• Verify receipt of materials, approve invoices, and handle MRBR/RMA requests.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and the USA Business Unit team to resolve technical and supply issues.
• Maintain accurate lead‑time and pricing data in SAP.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with solid supply‑chain knowledge.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate materials, suggest alternatives, and manage shortages.
• Ability to prioritize multiple vendors and expedite material under tight lead times.
• Effective communication with all organizational levels and high ethical standards.
