Business Finance Analyst

About the role

The Business Finance Analyst will support the Business Finance function by producing daily profit and loss statements, ensuring accurate accounting of the bank's transactions, and providing transparency on financial controls. The role works closely with front‑office traders, financial controllers and other support teams to maintain high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Produce daily P&L for the assigned business unit or trading centre.
• Obtain front‑office sign‑off on reported P&L and resolve cash breaks.
• Participate in month‑end close activities, including SAP journal entries, reconciliations and balance‑sheet substantiation.
• Prepare and review internal and external financial disclosures.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives (CTB).
• Escalate and remediate daily issues in collaboration with support teams.
• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and manage remediation plans.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting standards.
• Ability to analyse and explain drivers behind profit and loss results.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication with traders, controllers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
