Business Development Manager - Surat

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of MakeMyTrip’s independent hotel portfolio in Surat. Reporting to the Zonal Manager, you will build and nurture relationships with independent hotels, ensuring they achieve sustainable performance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, source, and onboard new independent hotels to the MakeMyTrip platform.
• Manage end‑to‑end key accounts, providing regular performance reviews, metric analysis and best‑practice recommendations.
• Develop and execute business plans to increase net revenue, maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure competitive pricing.
• Conduct on‑site visits, train hotel partners on the extranet and wholesale processes, and gather market intelligence.
• Prepare MIS reports, monthly production reviews and geography‑wise sales plans.
• Negotiate contracts, close deals and strategise promotional activities to enhance hotel visibility.

Required profile

• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• High energy, team‑player attitude with a proactive approach.
• Proven experience in hotel or travel business development, preferably in a senior executive capacity.
