Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth across both online marketplaces and offline channels for Sweven Furniture. You will be responsible for expanding our presence on major e‑commerce platforms and securing bulk supply contracts with hospitality, real‑estate, and interior design partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and scale Sweven’s listings on Amazon, Flipkart, Pepperfry, Wooden Street and similar marketplaces.
• Optimize product listings, pricing, and inventory to maximize revenue on each platform.
• Build and maintain relationships with platform category managers and account teams.
• Identify and pursue bulk supply opportunities with hotels, restaurants, co‑working spaces and real‑estate developers.
• Attend trade fairs, expos and industry events to generate leads and expand the network.
• Visit furniture retailers, interior design studios and architects to pitch the catalogue.
• Develop partnerships with interior contractors and project consultants for recurring orders.
• Source and qualify leads through LinkedIn, IndiaMART, trade directories and cold outreach.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline from initial contact to closed order.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in business development, channel management or client acquisition.
• Hands‑on experience managing seller accounts on e‑commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central and Flipkart Seller Hub.
• Strong offline networking abilities and confidence in face‑to‑face sales.
• Organised, self‑driven and able to manage multiple channels simultaneously.
• Prior exposure to the furniture, home décor or manufacturing sector is a strong plus.
