Business Development Head – Ready Mix Concrete

About the role

The Business Development Head will lead the Ready‑Mix Concrete (RMX) business, shaping and executing growth strategies that align with Nuvoco’s corporate objectives. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive sales performance, manage key client relationships, and oversee a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with corporate and RMX goals.
• Prepare annual and quarterly sales targets, revenue and margin forecasts, and market expansion plans.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new segments, sectors (infrastructure, residential, commercial) and competitive opportunities.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business leads, building a robust pipeline of projects and clients.
• Participate in tenders, RFQs, bid preparation and technical proposals.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, contractors, consultants and architects, acting as the primary contact for strategic accounts.
• Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to set pricing structures that protect margins while remaining competitive.
• Negotiate contracts, delivery and payment terms, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with operations, plant, dispatch and quality teams to meet production, quality and delivery commitments.
• Work with technical teams on mix designs, product specifications and respond to technical queries.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in business development or sales within the construction or ready‑mix concrete sector.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve targets.
• Excellent client‑relationship management and negotiation abilities.
• Strategic thinker with solid analytical skills for market and financial forecasting.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, finance, technical and marketing teams.
