Business Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst who will act as the bridge between business users and IT, translating data needs into modern BI solutions. You will work closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements, design ETL processes, and ensure high‑quality data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries to extract data from multiple sources.
• Design and implement ETL workflow logic and data mapping.
• Analyse current, target and gap scenarios, performing impact assessments.
• Collect, query and interpret data to identify patterns and trends.
• Prepare technical documentation such as requirements, data mapping, gap analysis, use‑case models, workflow and implementation plans, and end‑user guides.
• Define data‑quality rules, detect anomalies and coordinate with data stewards.
• Validate ETL processes, reports and dashboards before final user acceptance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in data analysis, BI or related roles.
• Strong project‑management and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with ETL tools and data‑mapping techniques.
• Knowledge of modern data‑warehouse platforms (e.g., TimeXtender).
• Proficiency in Excel, Access and SQL query tools.
• Familiarity with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI and Qlik.
• Understanding of data aggregation, data visualization and business‑intelligence concepts.
