Business Controller

About the role

Newil & Bau is seeking a Business Controller to join its fast‑growing, 14‑person team in Helsinki. You will be responsible for the company’s financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Conduct financial analysis, budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Track project costs, forecast results and produce financial updates for each development.
• Assist with real‑estate transactions, including investment and cash‑flow modelling.
• Prepare materials for investor reporting and maintain internal reporting tools.
• Act as the main liaison with the external accounting firm (bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, tax).
• Support the CFO in communications with investors, banks and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in private‑equity or real‑estate.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both Finnish and English.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Team‑player attitude with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
