Bus Driver – University Transportation

About the role

NIST University seeks a responsible and safety‑conscious Bus Driver to operate its university buses, ensuring timely and secure transport for students, faculty, staff, and authorized passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate university buses safely according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks (tyres, brakes, lights, fuel, etc.).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report faults, maintenance needs, or accidents promptly.
• Assist passengers during boarding and alighting, exercising extra caution with students.
• Follow all traffic rules, road safety regulations, and university transport policies.
• Collaborate with the Transport/Administration team and adhere to instructions on routes and schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 10th Pass or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Transport Driving License.
• Clean and responsible driving record.
• Relevant experience in driving buses or heavy vehicles is preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
