Building Draftsman (Revit)

About the role

The Draftsman – Building role requires strong expertise in architectural and structural drafting. You will be responsible for producing precise, detailed drawings for a variety of building components, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive general arrangement drawings for buildings, demonstrating solid understanding of architectural principles and structural integrity.
• Create detailed concrete and steel reinforcement drawings for foundations, substructures, and superstructures.
• Produce intricate steel and concrete girder drawings, including plate, truss, and open‑web configurations with accurate connection details.
• Conduct rigorous checks of fabrication drawings submitted by external agencies to verify adherence to specifications.
• Utilise advanced proficiency in Revit to improve drawing accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Generate formwork drawings based on engineer‑provided specifications, ensuring structural requirements are met.

Required profile

• Minimum ITI certification or diploma in Civil Engineering (degree highly advantageous).
• 5–7 years of proven experience in architectural and structural drafting for building projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and other industry‑standard CAD software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles, structural integrity, and relevant building codes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to review technical drawings meticulously.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and continuous‑learning mindset.
