Branch Operations Manager – Ahmedabad

About the role

The Branch Operations Manager will oversee all day‑to‑day operational, financial, commercial and administrative activities of the Ahmedabad branch. The role ensures strict compliance with regulatory and organisational guidelines while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Execute receipting, banking and reconciliation processes for cash, cheques and demand drafts with 100 % accuracy, including fake‑note detection and cheque dishonour management.
• Manage safe custody of cash, keys and assets, and perform timely asset reconciliation and petty‑cash verification.
• Identify and register local vendors, process procurement invoices, ensure NEFT registrations and support lease agreements and new‑branch set‑up coordination with IT, infrastructure and banking teams.
• Handle legal, compliance and taxation duties such as professional tax remittance, representation in labour/consumer courts and liaison with tax authorities.
• Coordinate advisor licensing, update contacts in the BSLI system, prepare MIS reports, schedule training programmes and support sales teams during daily huddles.
• Maintain office security by opening and closing premises, managing keys and ensuring confidentiality of documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deliver 100 % accuracy across diverse operational tasks.
• Strong familiarity with regulatory and organisational guidelines in a banking/insurance environment.
• Capacity to work extended hours and handle unpredictable volume spikes.
• Excellent confidentiality and documentation handling skills.
• Ability to operate multiple systems simultaneously despite connectivity challenges.
