Branch Operations Executive – Express Logistics

About the role

The Branch Operations Executive will oversee the physical handling of shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and optimise delivery routes for an express logistics operation. This role combines hands‑on loading duties with route planning, vehicle checks and customer service to meet productivity and compliance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers, sort documents and parcels for efficient delivery.
• Plan and re‑prioritise routes, balancing stops with the pickup coordinator to meet customer time‑windows.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete inspection reports.
• Maintain compliance with state and local warehousing, material‑handling and shipping regulations.
• Prepare and audit delivery records, pick‑up manifests, AWBs, customs paperwork and commercial invoices.
• Scan, record and transfer data using defined tools for performance tracking and compliance.
• Secure vehicles and packages by following safety and security procedures.
• Handle customer queries, resolve issues or escalate to the appropriate department.
• Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
• Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve KPIs.
