Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans leads the branch to achieve business targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering an excellent customer experience. You will oversee loan disbursement, new customer acquisition, portfolio quality, and risk management for gold‑backed lending.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch‑level business performance, meeting disbursement, yield, collection and risk KPIs.
• Build and nurture relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers to boost acquisition.
• Lead and supervise branch staff (ABM, Gold Valuer, GLO, CSE), ensuring productivity and performance management.
• Oversee accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV norms and proper documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI guidelines, internal policies, risk processes, purity testing and audit standards.
• Monitor portfolio metrics such as delinquencies, yield, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious/bentex cases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a retail loan branch or similar operation.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations and internal compliance procedures for gold loans.
• Ability to lead, coach and evaluate a diverse team of front‑line staff.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with customers, partners and local authorities.
