Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans leads the branch’s gold‑loan business, driving disbursement, new customer acquisition and portfolio quality while ensuring compliance with RBI and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve branch‑level KPIs for loan disbursement, yield, collections and risk management.
• Build and nurture relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers to drive acquisition.
• Lead and supervise branch staff including Assistant Branch Manager, Gold Valuer, GLO and Customer Service Executives, managing performance and productivity.
• Oversee accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV norms and proper documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI regulations, internal risk processes, purity testing and audit standards.
• Monitor portfolio metrics such as delinquencies, yield, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious cases, taking corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing gold‑loan or secured loan operations at a branch level.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of RBI guidelines and internal compliance frameworks.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset for portfolio monitoring and risk mitigation.
