Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Retail Gold Loans drives branch‑level business performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers a superior customer experience while maintaining portfolio quality. The role leads a frontline team to meet disbursement, acquisition, yield, audit, collections and risk targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers to generate new business.
• Lead and supervise branch staff including Assistant Branch Manager, Gold Valuer, Gold Loan Officer and Customer Service Executives, ensuring productivity and performance management.
• Oversee accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV norms and proper documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI regulations, internal policies, risk processes, purity testing and audit standards.
• Monitor portfolio metrics such as delinquencies, yield, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious/bentex cases to drive branch growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a retail loan or gold loan branch.
• Strong knowledge of RBI norms and internal risk/compliance frameworks.
• Ability to lead, coach and evaluate a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with customers, partners and local authorities.
• Analytical mindset to track and improve portfolio performance indicators.
