Branch Manager – Gold Loans

About the role

The Branch Manager – Gold Loans leads the branch’s secured lending business, driving performance, ensuring compliance with RBI regulations, and delivering a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch‑level business targets including loan disbursement, new customer acquisition, yield, collections and risk KPIs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, partners, authorities and community influencers to generate new business.
• Lead and supervise branch staff – Assistant Branch Manager, Gold Valuer, GLO and CSE – ensuring productivity and performance management.
• Oversee accurate gold valuation, loan structuring within LTV limits and complete documentation for new and renewal transactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI norms, internal policies, risk processes, purity testing and audit standards.
• Monitor portfolio health – delinquencies, yield, tonnage, auction ratios and spurious/bentex cases – and report branch growth metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a branch or similar retail finance operation.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations and gold‑loan products.
• Ability to lead a multi‑disciplinary team and manage performance.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with customers, partners and local authorities.
