Blasting Operator

About the role

The Blasting Operator will work on the production floor to perform blasting of substrates, fixtures and machine parts while ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards. This position is based at Oerlikon's Tumkauru facility and contributes to the continuous improvement of surface technology processes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment to treat substrates, fixtures and machine components.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on blasting machines.
• Maintain fixtures and ensure they are ready for production.
• Follow all safety procedures and uphold 5S discipline within the department.
• Execute processes in accordance with QMS and EMS standards.
• Identify failures, initiate preventive actions and suggest improvement ideas.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating blasting equipment.
• Technical education such as an ITI qualification.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with good communication skills.
• Open and positive mindset focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
