About the role

Aviraj Kitchen by Shakti Food Links is seeking a dedicated Biryani Cook to join its institutional catering team in Kolkata. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on preparing high‑quality biryanis and related dishes for large‑scale corporate, industrial, and educational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Marinate and cook meats and vegetables according to standardized recipes.
• Measure and blend spices with precision for consistent flavor.
• Prepare rice and accompaniments in bulk while adhering to portion guidelines.
• Maintain taste, texture, hygiene, and presentation standards in a high‑volume environment.
• Follow food safety protocols and ensure kitchen sanitation.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, manage ingredient stock, and maintain equipment.
• Assist with menu execution, quality checks, and other kitchen activities as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in large‑batch or institutional cooking, preferably Indian cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen and collaborate with a team.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kolkata with flexible hours.
• Formal culinary training is a plus but not mandatory.
