BIM Technician – Electrical

About the role

The BIM Technician – Electrical will create and maintain coordinated MEP 3D BIM models, perform clash detection and resolution, and develop parametric BIM families. The role provides specialist support to design and bid teams, ensuring accurate visualisations and quantity take‑offs for project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP 3D BIM coordinated models and conduct clash detection.
• Create parametric BIM families and support design teams with 3D visualisations.
• Develop 4D models/visualisations for bid presentations.
• Extract quantities from the BIM model for Bills of Quantities.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and assist with analysis and design modelling.

Required profile

• Good English communication skills and ability to work with senior staff.
• Valid passport and willingness to be seconded to the UK for up to three months.
• Computer literate with strong Windows, MS Office and database application knowledge.
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) plus draughting qualifications and at least 5 years of production experience in design, drafting or engineering.
