BIM Specialist – Civil 3D

About the role

AECOM India is looking for a BIM Specialist to support its Civil Engineering practice. The role involves developing, managing and coordinating BIM models across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain BIM models using Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks according to project BIM Execution Plans.
• Prepare LOD‑based models (LOD 200‑400) for civil, structural, architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings, details, schedules and quantities extracted from BIM models.
• Perform clash detection in Navisworks and support resolution with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure models follow client standards, ISO 19650, company BIM guidelines and naming conventions.
• Support interdisciplinary coordination, integrating architectural, structural and services models.
• Manage model updates, version control and incorporate design changes.
• Assist in creating BIM workflows, templates and libraries, and support construction‑phase BIM needs such as shop drawings and as‑built models.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience with Civil 3D on projects involving site grading, earthworks, drainage, roads, pavements and underground utilities.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with design‑office practices and 3‑D modelling standards.
• Ability to provide technical support to design teams on BIM‑related issues.
