Billing Engineer – Transmission Line & Substation

About the role

Responsible for verification, certification, monitoring, and reporting of contractor bills, quantity measurements, and progress‑linked invoices for EHV transmission line and substation projects. The role ensures accurate commercial controls and supports project cost monitoring and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Review and certify contractor RA bills, final bills, and extra‑item claims in line with contract provisions.
• Verify executed quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, DPRs, MBs, and site progress records.
• Track physical progress versus billed progress, identify variances and prepare billing status reports.
• Maintain payment trackers, cash flow updates, and commercial dashboards for the PMO.
• Monitor contract compliance, payment milestones, retention money, liquidated damages and variation orders.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, consultants and client representatives for bill reconciliation and certification.
• Maintain records of invoices, measurements, work completion certificates and contract correspondence.
• Support project cost monitoring, budget control, forecasting and MIS reporting while ensuring adherence to procedures and client requirements.
