BESS Site Team Leader – PMC Oversight

About the role

Lead day‑to‑day PMC oversight of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) package from delivery and installation through integration, commissioning, performance testing and hand‑over to operations. The role ensures safe execution, schedule adherence, quality compliance and readiness for energisation and operational acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate site‑based PMC activities, interfacing with client, EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor installation progress of battery containers, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear, auxiliary systems, HVAC and fire‑suppression systems.
• Oversee integration of EMS, BMS, SCADA, communication systems, renewable generation assets and grid interfaces.
• Review construction schedule, quality, HSE performance and implement corrective actions.
• Manage energisation, commissioning and integrated system testing across all technical disciplines.
• Prepare and present progress, risk and decision reports to the PMO BESS Lead and client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems or Energy Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years experience in power generation, transmission or utility‑scale renewable projects.
• At least 5 years direct experience with utility‑scale BESS projects, including site delivery and commissioning.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams, stakeholder interfaces and project risks.
