Bank Cashier (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the efficient functioning of the branch by handling cash, cheques, drafts and other instruments while delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and maintain accurate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports and reconcile cash in the system.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys and valuables with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Interact with customers, identify cross‑selling opportunities and educate them on new products and alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to transaction turnaround times and compliance with all bank policies and regulations.
