Back-End Software Engineer - Core Java

About the role

Light & Wonder is looking for a talented Java Backend Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services and APIs that power its iGaming platforms. You will work on core platform components, optimise performance and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features end‑to‑end.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical brainstorming sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT or related field, or MCA.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
