AWS & Windows Administrator (Chennai)

About the role

TCS is seeking an experienced AWS & Windows Administrator to manage and optimise cloud and on‑premise Windows environments for its Chennai operations. The role requires 5‑10 years of hands‑on experience with both AWS services and Windows Server administration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, ELB/ALB/NLB and CloudWatch.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and associated services such as AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, clustering, IIS and WSUS.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and security controls using AWS Backup, CloudFormation (basic), AWS Config, Security Hub and Microsoft Defender.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, AWS CLI and scripting tools.
• Monitor system performance, capacity planning and incident resolution across cloud and on‑premise platforms.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, database and application teams to support high‑availability architectures.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 15 years of full‑time education with at least 50% marks in 10th, 12th, UG and PG (if applicable).
• Based in Chennai and available for an online interview on Friday.

Required skills

• AWS Administration: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, ELB/ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Backup, basic CloudFormation.
• Windows Administration: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, clustering, File & Print Services, IIS, WSUS, PowerShell scripting.
• Monitoring & security tools: CloudWatch, AWS Config, Security Hub, Microsoft Defender, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
