AWS Data Engineer – Bangalore

About the role

PWC is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join its Data & Analytics practice in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytical infrastructure on Amazon Web Services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Amazon personnel and analysts to gather requirements and design data solutions.
• Develop highly available distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing using AWS services such as EMR, Redshift, S3, Glue, Kinesis and Lambda.
• Write complex SQL and data‑warehousing queries and support end‑to‑end design with developers, TPMs and PMs.
• Design, implement and maintain analytical data infrastructure that enables ad‑hoc access to large datasets.
• Integrate data from diverse sources using ETL tools, including Informatica and native AWS technologies.
• Create reusable scripts and programs in Unix shell, Python, Ruby, Java, etc., to solve data challenges.
• Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and production support guides.
• Partner with quality‑assurance teams to develop test scripts and resolve defects.

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to work with large data sets and build scalable data pipelines on AWS.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
