Avionics Verification Engineer

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an Avionics Verification Engineer to lead verification and validation activities for safety‑critical real‑time embedded software used in Airbus Helicopters avionics. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with DO‑178B/C standards and delivering high‑quality software for flight‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform verification and validation of high‑level requirements and software modules.
• Execute unit‑level testing and integration testing (software‑software and software‑hardware).
• Analyse issues identified during test campaigns or in‑service use and drive root‑cause resolution.
• Mentor and lead testing team members, fostering best practices.
• Support certification audits within the verification scope.

Required profile

• Strong experience in verification activities for safety‑critical embedded software.
• Hands‑on expertise with requirements‑based testing, unit and integration testing in both host and target environments.
• Familiarity with software configuration management and design reviews.
• Knowledge of DO‑178B/C standards and basic understanding of RTOS concepts.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
