Aviation Safety Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an Aviation Safety Trainer to deliver comprehensive safety training to airport ground staff, ensuring compliance with DGCA and IATA standards and maintaining a secure apron environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety trainings covering Safety Management Systems (SMS), ramp safety, warehouse safety, workshop safety, emergency procedures and human factors for ground operations staff and management.
• Instruct personnel on fire‑fighting, spill containment and emergency evacuation protocols specific to ramp, terminal and cargo operations.
• Design and update training modules, manuals and supporting documents to reflect new aviation regulations, industry trends and identified training needs.
• Perform random audits and competency evaluations to ensure alignment with DGCA regulatory requirements and support airline/regulatory audits.
• Train ground staff on proactive hazard identification and reporting for ramp, terminal and cargo activities.
• Educate supervisors and managers on using risk matrices, interpreting safety performance indicators (SPIs) and meeting safety performance targets (SPTs).
• Maintain accurate training records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Support additional operational and safety initiatives as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum of one year experience in a Safety Manager role within aviation or related ground operations.
• Strong knowledge of DGCA regulations, IATA standards and aviation safety best practices.
