Automotive Systems Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch's automotive division in Bangalore as a Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer. You will independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems in vehicles while creating high‑quality guided‑troubleshooting content.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle electrical, mechanical and electronic faults using OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Research, author and maintain detailed automotive content and guided‑troubleshooting procedures.
• Conduct component and system testing, including removal and refit operations.
• Identify Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and document findings.
• Maintain comprehensive records of tests, procedures and results.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑6 years of experience in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostic and guided troubleshooting of fault codes.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline, diesel, comfort & safety systems, sensors and actuators.
• Proficiency with OBD‑II standards, DIN wiring diagram standards, and HV/EV concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with OE testers, OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Understanding of automotive wiring diagrams, wire colour codes, connectors and DTC identification.
• Ability to create and document removal & refit procedures.
