About the role
We are looking for a full‑time Auditor to join our US Employee Benefits Plan Audit team based in Mumbai. The role focuses on compliance‑based audits of employee benefit plans for a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret plan documents, adoption agreements and amendments.
- Reconcile plan census data with payroll records.
- Design and execute audit plans covering employee and employer deferrals, eligibility, investment income allocation, plan loans and benefit payments.
- Supervise a small audit team (for senior‑level candidates).
- Review IRS Form 5500 filings and third‑party administrator discrimination testing reports.
- Prepare and review GAAP‑based financial statements for employee benefit plans.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employee benefit plan regulations and GAAP.
- Ability to work independently and guide junior staff.
