Audit Associate – Audit Executive (Finance)

About the role

The Audit Associate will support audit engagements from scoping to final delivery, reporting directly to the partner. The role involves client interaction, risk assessment, and team coordination while travelling as required.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and administer audit assignments, ensuring timely completion.
• Conduct pre‑audit scoping, risk identification, and preliminary evaluation of internal controls.
• Execute audit procedures, document findings, and prepare deliverables.
• Maintain comprehensive audit documentation in line with professional standards.
• Manage and mentor audit team members throughout the engagement.
• Handle client relationships independently under partner supervision.

Required profile

• Graduates or CA drop‑outs with 1‑3 years of post‑qualification audit experience.
• Strong motivation, client‑service orientation, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to travel as needed for client assignments.
• Excellent communication skills with a good command of English.
• Proven team‑management and client‑handling capabilities.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of business processes, accounting, reporting and audit methodology.
• In‑depth understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind‑AS) and Indian GAAP (SAs).
• Awareness of IFRS and other GAAPs for group reporting.
• Familiarity with direct and indirect tax regulations.
• Knowledge of corporate laws applicable to audits.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Tally and SAP.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
