Associate Vice President Marketing

About the role

The Associate Vice President, Brand Marketing will lead marketing for key entertainment verticals on SonyLIV, focusing on SET and Hindi Movies. This senior role combines brand and creative marketing with a strong emphasis on consumer insight, data‑driven planning, and cross‑functional execution to drive viewership, engagement and platform growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the SET and Hindi Movies audience, analysing viewing behaviour, content preferences and growth opportunities.
• Analyse performance data across shows, movies and campaigns to identify insights and create stronger marketing impact.
• Track competition, category trends and best practices across OTT, television and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with business, content, programming, media, analytics and other internal teams to define marketing priorities and build long‑term strategies.
• Create integrated marketing plans for priority shows, movies and tentpole campaigns, defining objectives, audience, positioning, creative direction, media role and success metrics.
• Lead end‑to‑end campaign execution from briefing through creative development, asset planning, launch timelines and post‑campaign learning.
• Identify opportunities to enhance impact through better positioning, packaging, platform placement, talent usage, partnerships and cross‑promotion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in brand or creative marketing within entertainment, OTT or digital media.
• Strong consumer insight and data‑driven planning capabilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with content, analytics, media, PR and partnership teams.
• Strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into clear marketing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
