Associate Software Engineer

About the role

SLB India Technology Centre is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join its IT delivery teams. You will help build and enhance digital solutions that support various business capabilities, working on both new projects and existing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features for upcoming projects and products.
• Analyze, upgrade, and troubleshoot existing applications.
• Identify and resolve performance or service degradation issues in collaboration with developers and DBAs.
• Deliver high‑quality code through unit and integration testing.
• Engage with application stakeholders, follow up on actions, and drive traceable improvements.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
• Adhere to SLB standards, IT policies, and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0‑1 years of experience with SDLC, SQL, Java, Python and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a globally distributed environment.
• Self‑driven, proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel within India and abroad.
• Comfortable working across time zones, including shift and on‑call duties.
• Excellent English communication skills.
