Associate – SAP HANA Native Development (Advisory)

About the role

PwC is seeking an Associate to join its Advisory practice in Kolkata, focusing on SAP HANA native development. You will work on data modelling, performance optimisation and data integration for clients navigating complex regulatory and risk environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced graphical or SQLScript‑based Calculation Views, table functions and database procedures.
• Optimise slow‑running queries, evaluate join cardinalities and apply code‑pushdown techniques.
• Configure and manage data integration using SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), Smart Data Access (SDA) or Smart Data Integration (SDI).
• Implement analytical privileges, manage roles and users, and schedule jobs.
• Support internal audit, internal controls review and SOX/IFC testing activities.

Required profile

• Experience with workstream management, quality review and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with RCM preparation, walkthroughs and control design.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a regulated advisory environment.

Required skills

• SQLScript and stored procedures.
• Native HANA development objects.
• SAP HANA Studio and SAP Web IDE.
• Git‑based source code versioning.
• ABAP / ABAP‑on‑HANA data provisioning.
• SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), Smart Data Access (SDA) and Smart Data Integration (SDI).
