Associate Professor – Law (Coimbatore)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced legal scholar to join our faculty as an Associate Professor of Law in Coimbatore. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality lectures, guiding student research, and contributing to the academic reputation of the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars on assigned legal subjects with engaging pedagogy.
• Design, update and implement course curricula reflecting current legal developments.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in reputable journals.
• Mentor students, supervise projects, internships and moot court activities.
• Prepare and evaluate assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees and policy formulation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks or equivalent.
• Ph.D. in Law or a related discipline as per UGC/BCI guidelines.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience or equivalent industry experience in law.
• Research score of at least 75 and a minimum of 7 publications in SCOPUS, WoS, peer‑reviewed or UGC‑listed journals.
• Valid Bar Council of India (BCI) qualifications and, if employed at an affiliated college, proof of recognized faculty status.
