Associate Manager - Tax

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Manager – Tax to lead and support both direct and indirect tax compliance for our operations in Gurgaon. The role involves managing statutory filings, liaising with tax authorities, and providing advisory support on tax planning for business transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage direct tax compliance including TDS/TCS review, statutory payments, return filing, certificates, and assessment proceedings.
• Handle indirect tax compliance such as GST return filing, tax payments, reconciliations, notices, audits, and refunds.
• Support income tax, GST and transfer pricing assessments and audits.
• Prepare tax schedules and coordinate with statutory, tax and transfer‑pricing auditors.
• Draft responses and submissions to tax authorities.
• Provide tax advisory support on business transactions, tax planning and structuring.
• Review tax data to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to resolve tax‑related matters.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–5 years of experience in direct and indirect taxes.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST, TDS/TCS and Transfer Pricing concepts.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and a strong team player.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, consumer products or multinational organisations is preferred.
