Associate – Internal Audit & GRC

About the role

PWC is seeking an Associate to join its Internal Audit and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) practice. The role offers exposure to a variety of organisations, helping them strengthen controls, manage risk, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal and process audit assessments using COSO, SOX and other frameworks.
• Analyse processes, sub‑processes and activities to identify control gaps.
• Document findings, develop root‑cause analyses and propose actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address complex assessment issues and support timely delivery of client deliverables.
• Assist in the preparation of status reports and client communications.
• Lead or contribute to specialist/associate teams within an internal control model.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in internal audit or process audit.
• Strong knowledge of COSO framework, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and internal control concepts.
• Familiarity with Indian regulatory statutes such as the Income Tax Act 1967, Companies Act 1956 and the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act.
• Experience working with ERP or other IT systems in a risk‑focused environment.
• Ability to organise work, meet deadlines and communicate findings clearly.
