Associate HR Business Partner – Chennai

About the role

The Associate HR Business Partner will join Quantcast’s People and Places team to provide proactive, hands‑on HR support for the Chennai office. Acting as the first point of contact for local leads and managers, the role partners with the APAC HRBP to ensure consistent HR guidance across on‑shore and off‑shore teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to employees and managers.
• Serve as a trusted contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, handling issues with empathy and discretion.
• Assist in resolving employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Support the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to off‑boarding—including collaboration with talent acquisition for recruitment.
• Help implement performance management cycles, goal setting, reviews, and calibration sessions.
• Identify training needs and support delivery of learning and development programs.
• Utilise Workday dashboards to provide people analytics and insights to local leadership.
• Partner with global HRBPs to translate business priorities into people initiatives and contribute to engagement, culture, and retention projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR generalist, advisor, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices in Chennai.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• High level of empathy and discretion.
