Associate Finance Controller

About the role

The Associate Finance Controller joins Maersk's General Ledger Controlling team to ensure accurate, timely accounting and reporting across the global organization. You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, applying IFRS and group guidelines to support the company's financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end accounting and reporting activities using SAP, MS Excel and other tools.
• Review, validate, and update accounting records, process documents and reporting to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with Technology LT, FBPs, procurement, OPSCM and PTP teams, providing timely updates.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items.
• Maintain correct accounting, controlling and reporting in SAP at GL, cost‑centre and internal order levels, including monthly accrual postings.
• Collaborate with the Head‑Quarter Finance team for monthly cost sign‑off and management reporting explanations.
• Adhere to the RICC control framework, perform controls attestation and support audits of agencies operating in the HQ geography.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of global accounting processes, IFRS and group guidelines.
• Ability to deliver accurate accounting and reporting on time.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement in GL and cost‑centre accounting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with auditors and diverse stakeholders.
