Associate Director & Team Leader – SME Business

About the role

The Associate Director & Team Leader will drive performance for the SME Business line, ensuring month‑on‑month targets are met, accurate MIS reporting, and effective hiring of Business Development Executives. The role focuses on cross‑selling multiple products, maintaining high standards of conduct, and supporting the bank’s CSR initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve month‑on‑month targets as defined in the performance scorecard.
• Produce timely and accurate MIS data.
• Recruit and onboard Business Development Executives within budgeted headcount.
• Lead the team to cross‑sell multiple banking products to SME clients.
• Ensure compliance with FCRMP, ABC, AML, and CDD standards.
• Reduce turnaround time by improving processes and minimizing errors.
• Maintain strict controls to prevent mis‑selling, sales complaints, and fraud risk.
• Embed sales governance principles throughout the sales value chain.
• Partner with Training and HR to deliver mandatory e‑learning on regulatory topics.
• Oversee performance management and ensure 100% participation in NBO FLIP.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in SME banking or a comparable financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of sales governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to manage a team, control attrition, and drive performance against scorecards.
• Excellent knowledge of AML, CDD, fraud risk management, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and the bank’s values.
