Associate Credit Risk Quant – Advisory (Mumbai)

About the role

PwC is seeking an Associate Credit Risk Quant to join its Advisory team in Mumbai. You will work with banks and NBFCs to ensure regulatory compliance, develop credit risk models, and support enterprise risk management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse wholesale, retail and micro‑finance lending products and associated risk parameters.
• Develop and validate credit risk models, including PD, LGD, and EAD calculations.
• Interpret and apply regulatory frameworks such as Basel Accords and IFRS 9 (ECL).
• Support credit policy, rating, scoring, and compliance processes for client institutions.
• Provide advisory guidance on regulatory requirements and risk management best practices.

Required profile

• Prior experience with banks or NBFCs, preferably in a mid‑office credit risk function.
• Strong understanding of credit policies, processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of Basel Accords, IFRS 9, and enterprise risk management concepts.
• Experience in developing and validating wholesale/retail credit risk models.
