About the role
PwC is seeking an Associate Credit Risk Quant to join its Advisory team in Mumbai. The role focuses on regulatory risk compliance, credit risk modelling and supporting banks and NBFCs with credit policies and processes.
Key responsibilities
- Understand wholesale, retail and micro‑finance lending products.
- Apply regulatory and accounting standards such as Basel Accords and IFRS 9 (ECL).
- Develop and validate wholesale/retail risk models, including PD, LGD, EAD and pooling.
- Interpret credit processes, compliance requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Adopt an integrated approach to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
Required profile
- Prior experience with banks or NBFCs, preferably in a mid‑office role.
- Exposure to credit policy, credit ratings/scoring, credit risk modelling and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to advise financial institutions on credit risk and compliance matters.
